Yes, sadly, Renie had a tumour which got into her spine and caused her terrible pain. Inoperable, tragically. Then we lost Jack (The Pirate) only five weeks later. He was very old, but it was still very hard. We had a few dog-less months, then we adopted Sid, who is a sweetheart. Same colour as Jack, but only three legs. He doesn’t have a nickname yet (other than The Tripod), but I’m sure he’ll get one!

These dogs precious. How sad the Renie died. There personalities shine through and so does your love for them.

I had the chance to look through some of your posts this evening. I am hooked (as you are on Capt Jack Sparrow) Love your writing and sense of humor.

Renie was a little ‘screechy girly’ when she sang, but Jack was very musical. He would sing ‘Wo, wo, wo, oo oo oo oh, wo wo!’ on a descending scale and in very mellow tones indeed. And so does Sid.
