Ah, well, I could go on for hours, of course. But basically, if you’re talking physical beauty, I think it is in the symmetry. Officially, we’re all drawn to symmetrical faces when we think of classical beauty, but on the other hand, as human beings, we are drawn to patterns which are just the tiniest bit ‘off’. Johnny Depp has the perfect mixture of symmetry and flaw. Unless you really make a study of his face, you wouldn’t notice the flaws, but they are there. He has the tiniest bit of pigment outside the iris in the white of one eye, for instance. Then there’s a little scar in his eyebrow, and those famously uneven teeth, etc.

But you know, pretty much every face reflects the soul of the owner, and I think this counts in his favour, too!

Fred and Wilma! I always had a soft spot for Fred.

as for the rest of my family, i don’t know. i’ll have to go think about this. we are all a bunch of characters with broken molds.

Mother Hen – I’m just so thankful that both my sons have a well-developed sense of humour! Americans do have a different style to us for sure, but I’ve enjoyed some US sitcoms very much – like Third Rock, Night Court, Desperate Housewives, and – oh, do you remember Maximum Bob? That was hilarious!
