It’s award time again, folks! This time I’m awarded the Brillante from Scratch, of An Itchy Blog, The Kick-Ass Blogger from Bob of Rhymes With Plague, and the Top Commenter from Drowsey Monkey!
Yay! I’m a top commenter! I’d like to think that means I make excellent and witty comments, but sadly I think it just means I talk a lot. But I am brilliant. Or is that Brillante? And I’m still abusing donkeys.
I’m always touched and delighted to receive awards from other bloggers. It really means something to be honoured by your peers, and these particular bloggers are all pretty fantastic themselves, so I’m really chuffed! Many thanks to each one of you!
The problem is that there have been so many awards going round just lately that it’s been difficult to know what to do about passing them along. If I were to do things properly, I’d have to find more than twenty people to award this evening; ten top commenters, seven Brillantes and five kick-ass bloggers. Well, I don’t even have statistics for who my top bloggers are, and anyway, that’s a lot of linking, so I think I’m going to take a leaf out of Yellow Swordfish‘s book and nominate one blogger for each award at the bottom of each of the next few posts. It’s not quite playing the game, but I figure it’s better than ignoring my obligations altogether.
Scratch Bags of An Itchy Blog amazes me by blogging in a whole nuther language than her mother tongue. I can’t even order toast in another language, and she manages to write huge chunks of very interesting and humorous prose several times a week. I therefore award Scratch the Kick-Ass Blogger award. Scratch, I know you’ve had this one before, but I so nearly gave it to you before and I wished I had, so you’ll just have to have two of them – you deserve them!
Glancing back over this last week’s comments list, I see that Meleah Rebeccah of Momma Mia, Mea Culpa has been one of my most frequent commenters, so today’s Top Commenter award goes to her! I love the title of your blog, by the way, Meleah!
Lastly, the Brillante award goes to Sandy of I Beati. I believe ‘brillante’ means ‘bright’, and Sandy’s blog is a good place to go to find funny pictures and cartoons, but also a little philosophy – she’ll try to help you to light your way through the dull spots in your life. Thanks, Sandy – your little corner of the interweb is bright indeed.
And heaven knows, we all need help sometimes!

The wide fabric ‘double-loop’ collars are called martingales. I love them! They’re hard to find over here – most of mine are American. Yay for the post service and internet ordering!
Yes – Johnny is playing with The Kids again! A friend of mine has tickets – she’ll have a blast! A different friend went to see them last time, and she just about died when he took his shirt off! LOL!
