The Princess has been posing so prettily this month that it’s been hard to choose a picture for my virtual calendar, but I do love this one. It sums her up so beautifully!

River Poet and Moon – Thanks! I think she’s pretty and adorable, naturally! And so does she. LOL!
Jenn – Chasing sheep would be far, far to energetic for the Princess, and like all supermodels, she never over-eats, but she says bring on the head-shots!
Mr N – When asked, she said she wants world peace and a home for every retired racing dog, and she likes to wear Silk Road or River End designer collars for sighthounds. As to talent, well, she can sit, shake paws, bark when requested and make biscuits disappear, and she could easily win a sleeping marathon, that’s for sure!
Meleah – I know! And she lies around grinning like that all the time! LOL!
Jenny – And she would just loooove you to do that! Thanks, she is a darling!

Babs – Yes! Muttley, he was a giggler!
Baino – Her teeth are pretty good for a nine and a half year old greyhound. They’re a little stained, but no tartar. We use an electric toothbrush. LOL!
Sandy – You know, I think you can do that with Photobucket! A friend of mine had one done for me of my favourite Depp character, and I’m pretty sure it was Photobucket she ordered it from!

Kate – Thanks! Some dogs are just so photogenic, aren’t they? I mean, they’re all cute when they loll around like that, but this one almost seems to pose for the camera, and I’ve seen others do that, too!
For one horrible moment I thought Francis the Talking Mule had climbed up on your sofa! Must have been the position of Princess’s ears in the photo. I don’t think I have ever seen a dog grin like that before. Or is she snarling? One can get in quite a bit of trouble misreading signs, don’t you know….

Hi Bob – Indeed one can! Never put your face near that of a ‘grinning’ dog unless you are 100% sure it IS a grin! But yes, the Princess is an inveterate grinner, and she actually likes being hugged, too, unlike most dogs.
Francis the Talking Mule? I’ve never even heard of him and yet I can see exactly what you mean!
There were several (I forget how many) Francis the Talking Mule movies back in the late forties and early fifties, if memory serves. They starred Donald O’Connor. He did not play the part of Francis.
