Warning! Not for the sensitive!
Posted on March 15, 2009 in Life, the Universe and Everything, Oddities by Jay29 Comments »

I got this in my email this morning and though I don’t usually pass on these things, I thought that in this case it was justified.  It’s so important to be forewarned about the possible problems when you have both young children and dogs in the house, and I consider myself damn lucky this never happened to us.

If you are an owner of a dog that belongs to a ‘dangerous breed’ category, and you also have a small child please take this as a warning.

Don’t leave your dog with the child unattended under any circumstances.

Only a little moment was enough for the following to happen.

Because I like to give people the choice about seeing potentially upsetting pictures, I’ve chosen to give you a link to click rather than post the picture here on the page.

And I’d advise you not to be drinking anything when you do it, so put down that cup of tea first.   Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Then click here.

Oh, go on. You know you wanna!  ;)

Oh dear. Dreadful abuse. Your right, children and ‘dangerous’ dogs definitely don’t mix.

No way! I had someone tell me not two weeks ago that her son took their Golden into the bathroom and when they came out, he had colored all over HER with his markers! At least my cats would run if the girls ever came after them with markers…well…at least one of them would…::sigh:: Cat baths…now THERE’S a fun activity!

    Hugs to you Jay!

hahaha! Thank you for this very serious warning. My pitbull mix and I used to live at (yes AT) an elementary school, and I was never even aware of this danger. Thank goodness nothing as scary as this ever happened!

Baino – Well, seriously, you do have to watch kids with dogs, but quite often it is for the poor dog’s protection! LOL!

Mel – Really?? You know someone else whose child did this? Hahaha! That’s too funny!

Sistertex – But it’s so cute!! How could you not pass this one along? SO much better than all those offers to enlarge my non-existent penis …

Picture Each Day – It’s not something you could imagine, is it? I don’t think I ever said to my boys ‘don’t draw on the dog!’ ROFL!

Heather P – I guess a lot of people did, but it is so sweet!

Babs – I know! She doesn’t seem to mind, though, does she, bless her!

LOL-that is awesome! (Is it bad that I’m eyeballing my basset hound and my magic markers now?)

The dog seems to be very relaxed. I think it’s probably enjoyed it. In fact, I reckon it would be a fun sort of experience…. I wonder … no, I’m too ticklish.

Dreamybee – Yes, that is bad. Very, very bad. How old are you? LOL!

Katherine – I was thinking the same – The Princess would have just laid there and enjoyed the attention, too!

    Sistertex – ;)

River Poet – Scary indeed! I wonder if it came out?

    Somnambulist – You’re welcome! LOL!

Carolina – I know! It cracked me up – it’s as if she was learning about the dog’s anatomy by following the contours!

Kate – Nah – Hippie would still probably let a kid do it! ;)

Sandy – I’d like to have seen your chi chasing a huge cat! Ferocious little guard dogs, chihuahuas, aren’t they?

Meleah – Yes! So confident and engrossed in what she’s doing! ROFL!

Sandi – I think I’m missing a reference here. I’m going to look Petey and Spanky up on Google! It’s funny, though, isn’t it?

  24. on 16 Mar 2009 at 9:07 pm24Mr. Nighttime

BWAHAHA! I think the e-mail was incorrect. It should read “owners of children in the “dangerous child” category.”

This falls under the category of “When you hear ‘uh-oh,’ it’s already too late.” when dealign with kids.

Mr N – ‘When you hear ‘uh-oh’, it’s already too late’

    How true that is!! ROFL!

AnneDroid – Well, I tried not to put you off altogether .. I’m glad you clicked!

Ruth – I remember the thing with Michael Vick. Everyone was so sure he’d never play again, but I hear he might just do so. One thing is for sure, I could never root for a team with him on board. :(

Liz – Yep, very dangerous indeed! I had two of them, you know! ;)

we did have a rather good giggle.
Im rather tempted to take the colouring pens to ike while hes having a snooooze :)
